When I finished my high school studies, my late father, Eng. Joseph, contractor, sent me to one of his construction sites about 13 years ago. I had seen him draw house plans, fill BOQs and involve me and my brother Chris to do the work, which was basically addition and multiplication, using an old school calculator (it just never got old, the thing worked all the time).
After a few months at the site, I had gotten some grip on site management, construction work, people management and planning. I had to leave for the university. I enrolled and studied a BSc. in Civil Engineering, a 5 year grueling course which was impossible to finish without determination, focus and relenting commitment.
